Stephanie Rausser About Me
Photography is a conversation.
Between people.
Between clarity and creativity.
Between a perfectly-honed plan and a pleasant surprise.
Between a dash of whimsy and a dose of delight.
Between the here and the now while remembering that now is pretty freaking awesome.
And it's a conversation I've been having for a long time.
As the daughter of a professor, I led a nomadic childhood: 5 elementary schools, 4 high schools, and a lifetime of new school smell.
I saw it all, and that 's how I learned to see. To see all the different ways of living.
To see everything people are, and everything they can be.
To see life in all its beauty, and all its humor.
Celebrating humanity and individuality—that's what makes for strong photographs.
Creating joy and connection—that's what makes for a strong photographer.
Sure, the world may be a little wearier—but it's not broken.
And if I know one thing it's that there's no future in giving up or giving in, so we've got to give a little bit more.
It's why I go all-in for my clients. Why I'm fiercely passionate about what I do. How I do it. Why I do it.
When I show up to set, these lessons still show up with me (and I have been showing up since the Beanie Baby).
Because when all is said and done and I've done the dishes one last time, I just hope to have left the world a little more delightful.
